    Thomson Elite seatpost?

Where is the best (cheapest) place to purchase the elite setback seat post ( 30.9 x 367mm) for my specialized, epic comp., either online or local in the L.A. area?

    Thanks

I got mine at performance for 47.xx (tax included). Use the red phone at the store... price match with wwww.aebike.com (54.99), then find a 20% coupon code. Their free shipping is really slow but oh well its free.

I'd been shopping around for a while for Thomson seatposts and my advice is to keep checking on ebay. Don't get discouraged if nothing shows up for a few days 'cause something will ALWAYS show up. Keep your eye on auctions even for Thomson seatposts that aren't in the size that you need - this way you get an idea of what these seatposts are going for on average. And if nothing else, you have aebikes as a benchmark for brand new seatpost direct from a bike retailer.

I just picked up two seatposts for about $45 apiece.

MTBR member, bike shop owner and all-round great guy Larry Mettler always has them at reasonable prices - $60 (includes shipping) for straight posts, $64 (includes shipping) for layback posts.

Larry's MTBR member name is "Ventanarama." His bike shop is Mountain High Cyclery.
