    ... back when they first went on sale for $39... and I thought that was cheap.

    Yeah, dual controll... love it or hate .... I guess most hated it.

    I, OTOH, Love Dual Control. I upgraded once bike to XTR dual controls, and I got a set off fleabay for $45 landed.. one lever slightly used. I haven't gotten around to installing them yet.

    The LX levers are nice, but you can only use them with Shimano calipers. Good thing they are all over the place.

    You really need rapid rise to make these shine. Plus these probably come with banjo style hose connectors on one end so if you want to use newer brake calipers you'll need to get new fittings.
