SANTA Cruz Frame Sale is BACK!!

I just got a shiny new black Tallboy AL for $900!!

I feel like I am dreaming. I was calling Santa Cruz over the holidays hoping there would be one left. There site came back online and they were all gone.

Now it looks like there are quite a few in differant sizes.

I wish I was XXL for various reasons, but especially to buy a carbon Tallboy for something like $1300.

Santa Cruz BicyclesGo to the main website. Then the Store Tab, and then Sale. The frames are the first items that come up. Good luck.

I didn't see that two other people already posted the response. I am just getting used to this forum format.

I still ride my Chameleon on lift days. 26" DH tires are cheap and plentiful these days.

The Tallboy LT carbon at $1599 (size M only) plus a Fox 34 TALAS 2014 for $538 make a pretty nice value together.

Add some Chinese carbon wheels and an SLX or XT gruppp from a UK site and you could be have an impressively performing bike for $3500 or so.

i missed the Tallboy LT carbon at $1599 plus the Fox 34 TALAS 2014 for $538. hopefully there'd be another sale or better yet, a good sale on a brand new TBLTc bike.

As has been pointed out, the two items are still at CompetitiveCyclist/Backcountry, albeit at $200/$110 higher on frame/fork. You could try giving them a call and reference the S&C prices yesterday, and ask them what they can do . . . I wouldn't be surprised if they honored the prices, or at least came close. Its all the same company/inventory.

Go through The Gear Market - Steep and Cheap Deal of the Day Tracker - Discount Bike, Camping and Ski Coupons or Activejunky.com and get 10% cash back....gets the price really close.

Ugh I've been obsessed with trying to find some sort of tallboy in an XL for a good price lately. No such luck so far. I'm considering going with a hard tail. Am I crazy to make the switch?

The Al highball is $50 more than before .

jpk1080 I guess it depends on what kind of trails you ride. Colorado cyclist is blowing out the previous version of the Highball C in XL&XXL (135mm dropout) for like 999 Santa Cruz Highball 29" XXL Carbon/grey. If only it were medium...

I'd personally go with the highball c as the TBLT (and my current Carbine) is too much bike for where I moved to. Plus you can use it double duty as a pseudo cross bike. But if I still lived in the bay area, or was "forced" to live with 1 bike I'd have picked the TBLTc or other wunder "enduro" FS.

Yeah I was looking at those at CC. I do need an Xl so it would work out but I'm apprehensive about switching from fs to hardtail. This would be my only bike and i ride mostly technical roots and rocks in the southeast (asheville, nc) area.

Yes. they run deals all the time as well. remember to go through active junky for another 5% cashback. steep and cheap's pricey are generally a few dollars cheaper than whatever is running on chainlove.
