    REI Memorial Day Sale

    Just a reminder.

They might not have the best prices but they're a quality brick and mortar store where you can actually try stuff on and feel it in your hands before putting down your cash. And this sale is usually the best time to buy.

Cycling gear and clothing at REI. 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

FYI - I don't work for REI but have been a member for over 20 years.

    You're welcome.

The only thing I like more than new gear is new gear on sale.

Sweet deal on some high-quality shorts!

I grabbed a CamelBak Rogue ($48.69 + tax) after trying on various brands/models--super helpful. I was leaning towards an Osprey but, when I felt their shoulder straps, I kept looking. Nothing wrong with Ospreys but I simply preferred the feel of the CamelBak.

I might need to go back and try some of those Ether shorts, though.

Was thinking of buying a GoPro 2. Is $240.00 a good price?

Just saved $45 on a pair of Giro Gauge shoes.

Love REI. Best CS in the biz and good sale prices + annual dividend.

The best price you can possibly get right now. I bought the package deal they had for 299.99. Probably going to sell the little lcd screen and buy the battery bacpac for extended time.

Picked up the GoPro 2 today; I couldn't resist. Now, I need to find the correct memory card (looks like Amazon may have the best deals). Cheers!

Make sure you get at least a 16gb class 10 for best recording. Maybe get a 32gb if you really want to hold more footage.

They really are. They came yesterday but were just a tad too small. I ordered a pair of .5 size larger Giro Privateers to replace them with. I prefer the all black look and they are supposed to be awesome - for less.

The only downfall of this sale is that you get no dividend dollars....REI doesn't pay dividends on items that are discounted more than 15%.

I picked up the Go Pro. Debated if I wanted it (it is completely a toy), but the price (240) and REIs great return policy made my decision. Many times when I have bought from REI is because of their return policy, especially for items I just not certain about. Fortunately, I usually like the item and keep it.

I scored on a North Face Mountain Light Jacket on clearance about 3 months ago from REI. I'd been looking for this jacket for a while (reg. price was $250.00) so I was really jacked when I bought it. The sales guy at REI was GREAT! His store didn't have the size/color I wanted so not only did he call the other local stores here in Minnesota. I figured it wasn't going to happen but before I left he took my cell #, located one down in the Chicago area called and had it shipped free to my door step. All for for $169.95!
