Looking for a set of inexpensive hydro discs

Where is the the best deal on a set of hydraulic discs? Rotors not necessary. I would also consider a set of Avid BB7 mechanicals. The best that I have found so far is the Hayes Stroker Trails for 69.97 per wheel.

Hygias, via Ebay. Around 170 for front and back. There's a long thread on these hydros in the Brakes forum.

I strongly recommend against the Hayes. I had the Stroker Trails (as did a riding buddy). Within six months, I replaced mine with an old set of BB7s and he replaced his with XTs. We had different degradation modes- his had no power from the start, and mine had no modulation.

Shimano M525 disc brakes are very easy to work on and very reliable. You'll just need to buy a shorter line for the front brake.

I 2nd the idea of looking for Formulas on ebay. I got a set of NOS Oro K24's for ~$50 each. I just had to run a longer line for the rear, as they were both set up for front. Big upgrade from the Juicy 3's they replaced (especially the front) - more power and no turkey warble.
