Jack's Cycling Store?

Does anyone have any purchasing experience with this site?

http://jacks-bikes.com/

The prices for bikes on this sight seem too good to be true.

Thanks in advance ...

I've seen discount bike shops come and go over the years...this looks like another one

Once the manufacturers get wind of this, they'll drop him like yesterdays news.

The prices DO look too good to be true...they probably are

Pretty sure its a pure scam, most these bike arent allowed to be sold via mail order and prices dont make sense. and their "buy online" link is not secure and make u type all everything in manually.

dont seem right at all

i dont know if they are legit or not but their customer feedback is not legit.

compare their customer feedback
http://jacks-bikes.com/

to the feedback on the Ibex website
http://www.ibexbikes.com/testimonials_index.html

Not too mention, the pics don't look like a big store, yet they have all major brands and every bike from each one of those brands, plus free shipping, plus...blah...blah...blah.

I hope no one falls for it.

I just emailed them (Jack's) telling them they should shut down their website or else.
I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.

A definite scam outfit. This was brought up in the Maine/Vermont/NH forum. One guy went right to the address in Augusta, that's right nothing there.

Stay away.

Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! Scam, Scam, Scam!!!

Okay, this is either a scam, or someone stole these bikes and has no other way of selling them.

I work at a bike shop and every box that a bike comes in states in huge words: BIKE MUST BE ASSEMBLED BY AUTHORIZED DEALER
If not, there is no warranty. And after reading their "customer comments", these bikes are being put together by customers.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE KINDS OF WEBSITES!!
Everything I know, I learned from mountain biking.

Why so many scams?

Why is that there are so many scams for bikes and equipment? Do I just not notice it for everything else as I don't look at other products or is this an issue within cycling?

Scam.

My brother used to live in that area (Augusta, ME) about a year ago. There are no bike shops at the location they indicated on their map, just a couple of hotels.

As others have mentioned, this site pops up time and again under it's various names and versions. I recognized the site and remember it being discussed here a couple years back. I wish someone would find these guys and shut them down already.
