Apparently Backcountry bought CC about a year ago. So even though Hucknroll is going away, they've actually taken over CC. Interesting.

They are all owned by the same backcountry subsidy. Dept. of Goods, HucknRoll, CC, and so on. They also own chainlove, whiskey militia, and some other discount sites.

I've purchased a lot of stuff from a lot of different companies, but I've never ordered from HucknRoll or Competitive Cyclist. Neither rarely have what I need, and why pay retail on commodity parts?

Well, it can be good and bad at the same time. Bad if they end up as the big player in the market, dominating both road cycling, MTB and so on... otherwise I can see them fighting with all the competitors and therefore making good deals to us, the costumers.

There is no merger, it was the same shop and warehouse all along - this is a website merger.

It's just a website merger, but I much prefer the interface of HucknRoll to Competitive Cyclist. I find it much less user friendly.

Just simplifies the web part of the business just like everyone is sayin. Great customer service from the back country boys and super fast shipping. Great deals with the 50 off the sale price and free shipping over 50
