Does anyone know where to get Build Kits / Groupos? I am looking for an XT level kit.

Thanks,

Are groupos cheaper than seperates?

I am wondering if you can really find a cheaper Group kit than from buying seperates when the seperate components are discounted?

The only downside is that no single shop has the best price on each and every part, so you eat some shipping by buying seperately.

Has anyone done the exercise of adding up all the part prices for a groupo from http://www.comparisonpricing.com/ and comparing it with a kit?

For the most part. . .yes. A build kit is cheaper than a fully built bike. I've priced out a few, and priced out the components, and with the groups, they are a better deal. Try this website for build kits too:

They've had some of the best prices I could find with build kits. I've ordered from them in the past as well, and they were OK. Not excellent, as they didn't have some stuff in the build kit in stock, and swapped out parts, and ended up charging me a higher price, but in the end they gave me a lot better parts for not that much more.

I mean for $500 for an LX kit with Disc brakes, you are not going to find a better deal than that.
