I have one of these, enjoy it alot. Battery life seems good & it has survived a couple good wrecks. I'm pretty sure my wife paid alot more than that for it.
It does show/track your elevation based off GPS, whether or not that is accurate enough compared to a barometric I dunno?...close enough for me anyways.
Wow - be sure to read the negative reviews on Amazon first to learn of this device's shortcomings. Some of the gotchas are major.
It sounds like most of the reviewers on there expected this to have a bunch of city maps like on a car GPS. But coming from an Edge 305, the only thing it seems to be lacking is the HR and cadence, which I didn't really use on the 305. The pricing on this is good enough that I won't worry about either of those features.
