New question here. Chain Reaction Cycles

I ordered a few small items; pedals, spacers, 661 brace, from CRC 17 days ago and they were "dispatched" 13 days ago. These items still have not arrived, has anyone else had such a delay from this company?

I live in Kansas City, I know the items are coming from our pals in europe but this delay is a but of a downer. I ordered items from Italy that took 6 days to arrive.

it's probably held up in customs....sometimes my items go through immediately and sometimes over 2 weeks.....there is no rhyme or reason to customs, they will forward whenever customs decide to

sometimes it just takes a while. if you get to the 30 day mark contact them and they will refund you. CRC has great customer service.

I ordered a rear wheel on 20 June...it was to my door 25 June. At the same time I ordered a brake adapter...still waiting for it. I really wish they were sent in the same box.

Funny. I ordered a Chromag Titanium QR bolt for their seat clamp last Wednesday, item arrived to my doorstep on Monday. Installed last night. Pretty quick turnaround for UK shipping. Beats some US retailers lol.

The nature of the beast for US 'custom'ers. I have done orders w CR for many years, especially when they have big sales. I will never order something I need right away though, but this is factored-in for what I want, and how bad and at what price. This usually begins w clearance items, hard to find, Christmas & New Year sales that warrant the price for their free shipping.

Brake adapter here...took 8 days total for that to arrive. Still no complaints at all from me. I order stuff from Hong Kong a decent amount and have had items take 1-2 months before. Most the time even these items show up in two weeks.

I ordered a custom front wheel on the 18th of this month. Received a dispatch notice on the 25th, and received the product on the 28th. I noticed the shipping information still shows it is in NY, even though it arrived at my house today which is in Utah. Since it was a custom order, I figured it might take a few extra days. But I was please with how fast it came.

Day 20 since day shipped, still no package. I know its not CRC its prob held up in Customs as someone mentioned. Just sucks... Per CRC they can reship if I still donít have on the 4th, how long will that take? Will the new package ever get delivered? Could be an endless cycle. I can get a refund if I wait a full 30 days "business days" and to CRC a business day is MON-FRI only. So I ordered on 6/11 and they will reship on 7/4 or refund on 7/25. Has anyone else had this issue with any vendor? Are my products definitely going to arrive at some point? What if they reship and I end up getting both packages? Let the conspiracies begin... was it really sent? Hmmm

mate, give them a call in a few days to check up on it, i bet its held up in customs, look if any drama happens they will refund you no problems, or send the replacment order free of charge, your lucky you have dealt with a good company, you will have no problems.
Did you call them to find out if it has been shipped, or are you just going on what it says on the computer, if thats the case, give them a call, dont fax, call them, ive found their service is great, cheers

2 orders placed this month. Both orders were shipped faster than in USA UPS ground (I am in CA) I was really shocked to see both orders arrive in less than 5 days. That said I would not want to have to deal w/ their CS - I have asked product questions, in the past, w/ little return correspondence.

For all of you hanging on for an end to this story, my official verdit is. CRC Sucks Donkey Ass. So I recieved an email saying they cannot "resend" because they do not have the item I ordered in stock anymore... I asked for a refund. They said if my package does not arrive by 7/25 they can issue a refund. So to recap:

    Ordered 6/11
I paid for the order and they took my money, never recieved my items.
Asked to resend, they said item out of stock. Will not refund my order.
Can give me a refund on 7/25? July mf'n 25th!!!!???Really?

    Great Company? No way.

Someone please tell me what I did wrong here.

SUCK IT CRC!!! I'll stick with Competitive and Huck&Roll.

Sorry to hear that but I would say that is standard terms for any web shop. You will get the money back, no worries!

And, after all it's not really their fault the shipment got stuck somewhere.

U.S. Customs at work again with our precious tax dollars. Keep in mind while they took their sweet time kicking your box around like Ace Ventura, they ignored the 40' containers of cocaine and illegals rolling past them. Feds FTW.

I ordered from CRC a week ago. I assume I'll have the order sometime in July. Or August if one of you works for Customs.

Delivery companies really do suck from this side of the pond. However I usually recieve all my bits from them within 5 days (to the UK).

Usually takes upto 20 days if ordering anything from the US to the UK

Ironically I just came here to post a thread about a great deal I found at CRC!

Customs is the real problem here. CRC is a quality outfit though, you won't be left high and dry. And I love that they support a world cup DH team (where's the team from ANY U.S. based etailer?).

Try not to hold a grudge, maybe just factor in the potential shipping delays in your online comparison shopping. (ps - if you think this is bad, don't ever order something you really want from China...)

JDub, that sucks. Sorry your experience with CRC was sullied. I have had about 10 orders with them go through without issue but it looks like the international cycling super store has its limitations. I would be positive that, if its their faullt, they will more than make it up to you.

My only advice it to deal with CRC in the winter. Their warehouse is highly automated and, during the winter, they mark everything down and offer steep added discounts to try to keep the high-capacity business humming through the cold months. That is what has worked well for me.

From my experience(From Singapore), if my purchase from CRC is free shipping, it usually takes 10-15 business days before I receive my order.

If I pay for shipping, it usually takes only 5-7 days.

Sorry to hear it could be worse for other. :-(

July 11th still no package I hate to order this stuff from somewhere else. I know as soon as I do the CRC package will arrive and I will have bought 2 of everything. CRC has sucsesfully tied my hands on this one. There is Truly nothing I can do until July 25th... You know I was at peace with this until I started typing. CRC can still suck it. They should refund my money so I can buy from someone else.

JDub that's got to be frustrating. My order last week was my first from CRC. Having read this thread I honestly expected it to take weeks before my shipment came in. I feel lucky to have received mine in just 7 days. Have you tried calling your credit card company and discussing it with them. AMEX takes good care of their customers. Hang in there. Hope it all works out.

I've always received my orders to the west coast in days. Crazy that they can get things quicker than most mail-order places on the east coast.

At least the last couple orders I placed said return shipping was free. If that's the case with your order, you could always just buy what you need now and send back what you don't on their dime, er, 10p.

I'm really not sure what the drama is here.

You ordered from overseas and get pissed at CRC when US customs or possibly your delivery system screws your shipment. Then you expect them to make a special exception for you when they have a procedure for dealing with this kind of problem, and have a hissy fit because you are not treated as a precious, unique snowflake.

Easy: You took the cheap route and ordered from overseas when you clearly don't have the patience to deal with delays that can be introduced by customs and postage

Just MTFU and take responsibility for your own purchasing decisions- if you chase the lowest price, you should be prepared for the additional and very minor complications.

I love these first world dramas. Two weeks without a couple of small parts

not trying to rub salt in the wound Jdub, but to be fair I ordered a package of miscellaneous items from CRC on July 8 and they arrived yesterday, July 16th. I really believe your issue wasn't CRC's fault. Although I do understand the frustration. I've been there with other vendors, feels really crappy.

Ouch the salt hurts!! LOL. I know the delay is prob not thiers, I am just saying when the items did not arrive, and they could not send new because they are out of stock, I should have gotton a refund at that point. Instead they are making me wait an additional couple of weeks. I could have ordered from somewhere else and had my goods by now.

Womle you are an idiot. STFU. You must work for CRC or something to have your little feelings hurt by my post. Go cry to your mom that you need a new part so she can make sure you get it you poser. If your mom was to order your parts and not get them 5 weeks later Iím sure you would not only be mad at mommy for not delivering, you might even wet yourself. If you donít understand why I may be upset that they will not refund my money because THEY DO NOT HAVE MY PARTS to send me I honestly donít know what to tell you. I cant wait for you lame ass reply saying how Iím the idiot, bla bal bla... go pose for you camera jack off.

Actually, after looking at some of your other posts, i can see you make a habit out of giving your "opinion" , carry on Womble. Harsh man.....Womle is right......it sucks, but saying CRC can "suck it" is you being butt hurt because you didn't get something from overseas fast and you want them to change process for you and you alone, I'd be pissed to, but you need to be pissed at the govt. or customs, or something, sounds like CRC was prompt to let you know the process, so communication was good.......what did they do wrong?

I wanted to share a recent experience with CRC. I needed a part for an older set of Hope Mini brakes and they were one of the only retailers I could find that had it in stock (according to the description and on-line photo). I ordered the part and it took a little over two weeks for delivery (as I had expected).

But, the part was incorrect. I took a photo of the part I received along with a screen capture from their website and sent an email to customer service. 48 hours later I receive this response:

Thanks for your email and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
I have brought this part to my desk for inspection and I can confirm that it is incorrect. Due to the item value it doesn't make sense for you to post it back from America so I will advise you to keep it in this instance. I will refund this order to you including the postage you originally paid.
Again we apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.
I thought it was a very stand-up way to handle the situation and I'm very pleased. I've ordered from them before and I'm sure I'll order from them again in the future.

Buahhahaha, that is hilarious. YOu may want to be careful. I have received a lot "hate rep down" for saying that a new Giant prototype looks a cheap knockoff of a Niner RIP 9. One guy even said " I am en engineer". lol Obviously engineers are blind to see beyond the drawing they have in front of them.

On a more serious note, I ordered a set of Fulcrum Red Power 29 XL for $295 two weeks ago from wiggle and got the package within 5 days. I asked to have a customs declarations/invoice attached as usual.

Meh, I can understand the frustration. Clicking "submit order" starts the clock on one of the most exciting days we have left as grown men. he may have gotten a bit fired up but imagine when you were 12, your birthday comes and goes...WTF!? HEY...Where's my shiny stuff!?

At least CRC won't rip you off. That's been well established. Soon this will all be a bad memory and long forgotten...except for this little thread on the Internet...which will outlive mankind...

So I saw the thread about Merlin, international shipping, and them offering a refund/resend. I was wondering if the OP ever got his CRC delivery and what ultimately happened about them refunding.
