I've never been charged duty from either CRC or Wiggle. I'd say about 20% of the time I'm charged HST when ordering from the UK. On stuff from the US it is more like 75% of the time that I get hit with HST.

It's hit and miss for me between CRC, Wiggle and Merlin. The biggest order with no duty was ~$900, but I've been hit with duty on orders as low as $100. I'm probably 50/50 on duty/GST over the last several years.

Are you really getting hit with duty 50% of the time? Usually there is no duty on bike parts imported to Canada - only sales tax. I have found the only time I pay duty on top of the sales tax is for bike clothes.

I've always pay tax here in quebec from CRC, Ribble and Merlin cycle plus a 9$ for handling.

Good call, I haven't been charged DUTY, just the $8 brokerage fee by CanadaPost about half the time.

From CRCs FB page, they have an ad in japanese, (which I can read); Y2500 = 2500 Yen off 20000 Yen (roughly $26 off $210) or Y10000 (roughly $104 off $1040). It's good till 3/22 4AM GST I believe. Confirmed it works in the cart for US, usual limitations (once per account, no gc, etc apply). Enjoy!

I don't have any new code, but I thought I'd share this with you all.
I live in California, and got the order I placed 4 days ago yesterday afternoon. I didn't pay any extra for expedite shipping. It was just standard free shipping they offer to orders over $150 (or $200? I don't really know).
Among the stuff I ordered was a Gusset Double Six SS conversion kit. It's supposed to come with a 12T cog, but it was missing. All I got was a pair of spacers and the lock ring. Sent them an e-mail last night, got the reply in the morning saying that they already shipped the missing parts. Outstanding service, I say.
Your mileage may vary, but they have been very good to me.

And thank you to past posters have saved me a few $$

I wonder if CRC, Wiggle, etc monitor these forums? You'd think it would be smart for them to do it to stay in tune with what's going on. For instance, wiggle has had coupons recently and I've bought stuff from them based on that. IF CRC had some current coupons I'd be comparing them closer and possibly buying from them. Maybe they can't advertise in here due to forum rules, but it seems like it'd be wise to keep their ears to the ground because there is a lot of traffic thru here representing significant potential $$

Staying in tune with what's going on = everyone wants something cheaper. When they need to move stock, they'll have a sale. Seems like the common sense conclusion.

Thanks for this. I think single use only means that it can only be used once per account not by just one person. I used it and if I login with a second account it lets me use it there as well.

Re: Chain Reaction Cycle Coupon Code?
How long do the state side people usually have to wait to receive a shipment? I'm in NY and had a few parts ship on the 23rd of April and still haven't gotten them. Just curious if it's normal or if my stuff is stuck in customs?
-

They use two types of shipping.Last order I made they split they split between the two.
One order in a week, the second took 3.5 weeks.
You'll get it.

Re: Chain Reaction Cycle Coupon Code?
Well 10 days so far and nothing. I'm sure it will come but if I were in a hurry I'd have to think twice before ordering from them again. I had Jenson send me an order which shipped through first class mail from California in only two days. Hopefully by next week I'll have my parts.

I'm in CA and normally, with both CRC and Wiggle, it's 7 or 8 days from shipping alert to my doorstep. Never have I had customs charges. My last order from Wiggle though, took 14 days instead. I even emailed them when I was worried, but of course, the day after the shipment arrived. I wouldn't worry too much unless it was past 14 full days and then email them to double check.
-
CRC seems to take at least 9-10 days to arrive. Wiggle somehow gets me stuff in a week or less.
