Anything up-to-date for CRC? Their banner ad this morning still had the Feb15 code from President's Day, but I'm not surprised to find it not working.

Wrong time of year to ask, but still worth a shot. Need a new tire, any codes floating around that work?

Don't have a code, but just giving everyone a heads up that all CRC orders are now shipping with DHL and you WILL pay customs and a 14$ surcharge on each shipment.

That must have happened with the "tracking on all orders" update.
    Well that sucks.....

I'm guessing the $14 is to collect the customs fees?
That always pissed me off too.

I just received an order that was placed with the new shipping options (paid 7.99 for 'express handling' and did not have it delivered DHL. It was parcel force global priority, Canada Post picked up the ball in Canada (fumbled it slightly) and charged me 10 dollars on top of the taxes. My order was in my hands in 6 business days, after picking it up at the post office. It should have been 5 had the post office actually delivered the slip saying it was ready for pickup.

For the first time in 4 orders our brilliant customs agents did not apply a euro exchange rate to what was already clearly declared in CDN dollars. Nice!

I used to keep orders between $100 and $150 and everything went through perfectly, seeming to slide by. I'm guessing that with the volume with Canada Post, small orders get passed over for GST. Sometimes it would take awhile if it was sent out of some other store other than the one in England.

I always had an issue with paying COD fees to collect GST or duty.
How does it cost $10 (used to be $5) to collect my $6.35 GST and forward it?

Mind if I ask if it was a large or small order you just received? I'm looking at placing a $900 order so was just curious whether I should split it up or not.

    Thanks!

Brother Marcus - I think it works out to be a little cheaper at Merlin since it includes brakes: Shimano XT M8000 1 x 11 Disc Brake Groupset | Groupsets | Merlin Cycles

Hey Grant! Yeah I was looking at that but I already have Saint brakes which has been another learning experience. I-spec B for 11speed isn't out yet. Still learning about this but for now I think I'll be getting a bar style shifter. It's actually about $23 less to buy everything though back country and the use the 12% active junky
