    Carbon Bars

Looking for a carbon bar in the ~710mm range (28") on the cheap. Trying to see if it's possilbe to upgrade in the $60-70 range. There seems to be a price jump from ~660mm to the larger ones.

Carbon bar on the cheap? A tall order. Contact bob at bob@bikerbob.com. He probably has the best prices around the net. Easton Ec 70 would be the cheapest but those only go 785mm. Truvative noir go up to 700mm. Maybe DH bars like the Havoc or Haven (750mm?). Good luck

Crank Brothers Cobalt 11 Handlebars 2012 from BikeBling.com and then find a 10% off coupon and that will be about the cheapest you can possbly find carbon bars for. I bought the 680 and like them, and they come in 700 also.

One thing about these crank bros cf bars, you need to be careful about the sweep. I got the 680mm flat bar version and didn't pay attention to the sweep. It was only 5*. That's fine if you have very wide shoulders but for me it was killing my wrists. I even cut it down to 660 and it still was hurting. I ended up giving it away to my roomie cuz I couldn't use it any longer.

It is extremely light though. Lighter than my Raceface 660mm 3/4 riser carbon bar by a large margin! Its too bad they don't make em in 9* or more sweep.
