    Carbon bars @ Jenson

    Carbon EC70 XC for $30:

Easton EC70 XC Carbon 25.4 Handlebar Oe > Components > Handlebars and Stems > Mountain Bike Handlebars | Jenson USA Online Bike Shop

Only in the 25.4mm clamp size, but a great deal if that's what you're running.

Yea, you found one of the crazy deals at Jenson that they're known for.

That's a great deal for carbon bars, from none other than Easton, who can well trusted for getting the most out of materials.

I've got the Topeak Mini 18+ mini tool in my cart, which is also a great deal. Not sure why I'm not pulling the trigger when I can literally bike about 15 miles (one way) over to their store to pick it up, when I actually could use a mini tool better than the basic folding allen wrench set I have.

Another hot deal is the 10spd XT chain. Their deals on Rocky Mtn bikes can also be ridiculous. Some of their prices are rock bottom, that other shops would be hesitant to match, as there's virtually no profit margin left for them, which I think their Niner carbon fork and SRAM PG 990 cassette fall under. Then there's those closeout items like some clothing like Titec and Hoss stuff.

They just can't be beat by others on these particular products.

Topeak Mini 18 ($10) and a few Hoss jerseys ($5.99) should be delivered today. Bit late last week.

A friend of mine forwarded this deal on to me.

I picked up this stem too, since my current stem is 31.8

Easton EA70 Stem > Components > Handlebars and Stems > Stems | Jenson USA Online Bike Shop

    Only two bucks!

I bought those bars last week. They are NOT the EC70 as advertised, but they ARE the Monkeylite XC. 176g uncut for me, in the high rise.

I noticed yesterday that Jenson actually has two different SKUs on sale. One is for some 660mm wide bars. The other is for something narrower.

Easton's bar names are confusingly similar at times. I had to read pretty closely to sort out the differences. Sometimes with their products I don't even bother, and just move on to some other brand. But I digress.

The product title/heading says EC70, but when you look at the picture, it's the Monkeylite XC. It's Jenson's goof, not Easton's. I agree though, Easton's naming scheme is confusing sometimes.

Damn, those mini 18+ sold out before I decided to actually get it. Oh well, I was looking at the Alien 2 anyways, but at 3x the cost.

Yep, carbon Monkeylite XC. The box they shipped them in weighed more than the bars.

Thanks for posting. Scooped up the $30 low-rise bar, $2 Easton stem, and found a Topeak morph road pump for $19. Just over $50, so free shipping.

Easton changed their naming convention to be more consistent.

From what the LBS told me who got it from the rep:
The Monkey Lite XC is now the EC70 bar.
The Monkey Lite SL is now the EC90 bar.

They did make the newer ones a tad wider, but materials are nearly the same.

I bought two!!! And wow what a difference in weight drop and ride they made!!

My High Rise clocked in at 178g before cutting down. Low rise comes in Friday.

    I bought this stem:
Origin 8 Pro Fit Ergo Alloy Road or MTB Stem Black 17 Degree Rise Many Sizes | eBay

for the 4 bolts and it seems pretty nice in build/feel.

That leaves me confused, because Easton's PDF shows them as two very distinct products... chart on the last page.

Yup. I'm a bigger guy at 250 geared, so I went with the MonkeyLite on my XC rig for strength and weight savings. For $30, as long as you aren't DH/FR, I can't see why you wouldn't get it aside from the 25.4mm stem clamp.

Also scored a Topeak Road Morph G pump and an EA50 120mm x 6 stem.

I placed an order when this deal was on and I'm pretty sure I had the "High Rise" selected when I placed the order. I noticed I had received the "Low Rise" bar and the invoice shows "Low Rise"! I had purchased the Low Rise a while ago so I needed the High Rise.

Anyone had the same issue? Anyone would like to trade my Low Rise for their High Rise version?

Mine has been installed but not ridden. I only noticed it was Low Rise after installing the bar with torque wrench.

At that price, I'm sure you could sell it and make a profit.
