Pricepoint
$250 off $1500 so you need to add a tube or something cheap to get the $1499 price of the bike over $1500. I added items to the cart and verified the discount being applied. Hell of a lot of new bike for $1250 plus shipping. Only real significant difference between the Expert and the next level up is the fox vs x fusion suspension. I'd say that the fox suspension isn't worth nearly $1000 over x fusion. TNI.com gave this bike very good reviews.
I didn't buy it, but you should. The Expert is 1499, Pro 2599, and Team 2999. The 250 discount comes off when you checkout if the total purchase is greater than 1500. If you are showing something different, give them a call when they open in a couple hours.
Most riders focus on downhill performance, yet they worry about bike weight, while I've never thought, "Damn, this is bike is heavy!" when high speed downhilling.
True, weight doesn't mean much when pointed downhill. But when pedaling uphill, racing, riding long distance epics, or trying to keep up with friends who race, a few pounds can make a significant difference. Like I said, a lot of riders won't notice, so it's not necessarily a deal breaker. Potential buyers at this price point are usually beginners or casual riders, so this is an excellent deal for them. It's all about having fun, and this looks like a fun and dependable bike. When I started riding again 3 years ago, I would have been all over this.
I saw this today on PP and was wondering about this bike. I've been a road rider for some time but just moved to Southern CA and looking for a good starter FS MTB. Will be riding in the foothills down here so mostly just XC/AM type of riding. No crazy downhill or anything...
Been looking mostly at used Trek's and Giant's....but when I saw this deal my ears perked up. The suspension definitely looks quite a bit different than anything else I've looked at. Also not really familiar with the fork manufacturer.
But for the price, it seems like a great deal. Would love to hear others input on the bike!
Can't find any user reviews so you might have to take the "dive" and be the guinea pig. Components look solid for the price and you could easily lose a few pounds just in wheels and tubeless tires. The 70 degree head angle is out of fashion these days for trail bikes, which may slow down sales, but is actually a smart choice for your average trail rider given that most people aren't pinning it down steeps. Since you're coming from a road breakdown, anything slacker on a 29er would feel quite "chopped out" to you. The bike is heavy as others have stated. I've tried the comparable Trek Fuel 29er, which was light, but left me unimpressed as I prefer the solid and stiffer feel of my own heavier 120 mm travel 29er - Caribou Ibex.
OP mentioned free shipping, but I am not seeing it in the cart. Can anyone confirm before I pull the trigger? Oversized plus regular shipping charges total about $60.
Sorry about the misinfo. On free shipping - didn't get far enough into the checkout process to see shipping charges. Post was corrected. Noticed that the sale price went up to 1999, so I hope someone got the 1250 deal while it was available.
How is pricepoint, as far as customer service and shipping on time, etc..? Any issues dealing with them? I am very intrigued with this Supercell Team for that price!
Not much they could screw up. Got it in 4 days. You need a Fox shock pump before you can ride it. Lesson learned. They messed up a second order for the shock pump( sent me a tire pump), but let me keep the tire pump for free and resent the shock pump. So, I would have to say good so far.
Got some sweet deals from then price wise thought. Hydration pack, shorts, helmet, etc. PLEASED
I've always gotten exactly what was ordered and since I'm local to their warehouse, have the option of picking up the order in person the next day before 5 PM.
The Supercell PRO is $1700 shipped at PricePoint. Sign up for email to reach the price tag.
I can't make up my mind and will not be able to test ride it, however it seems a fair deal.
