    Black Friday deals?

Anyone know of any online shops that are going to run BF specials? In need of a set of pedals...

Black Friday "deals" are a bit of a joke in the cycling industry. Definitely not like the consumer electronics industry.

Awesome price, but it's impossible to convert to 12x142.

Don't go looking at Jenson if you've already been looking over the past couple weeks, all they've done is loop all their old deals onto one page and called it Black Friday deals

Not sure about everything, but some of the prices are lower. I just ordered a set of X/O cranks for $239 that were $269 last night.

They have some great deals on Syncros stuff. I bought some grips, a stem some seatposts and some handlebars a few days ago when you posted this.

ChainReactionCycles has Shimano XT Trail pedals for $66.

They also have 10% off for orders over $99 (Code: WEB10)

Do those codes stack? I see the WEB10 but no details on the first 10% off $150.

Yeah, sorry. I saw that they have 10% of orders over $149 in the banner on their site but I also received an e-mail from them showing 10% off orders over $99 for black friday. I noticed after posting that the codes are the same.

EDIT: I received two e-mails from them for Black Friday. I have another code for 10% off orders over 100 pounds. Try: NET10

Do you know any good deal today to buy a cheap bike to start riding?

I found this but i am not sure if that is something good or really crap:

I cannot put the link but it is a Nishiki Adult Pueblo Mountain Bike 2012 from ***** at 149$ +15$ shipping.

    What do you think?

All ***** stores are different and have different personel, but my experience with them and their bikes is that the bikes are pretty poor and they are not put together at all well.

Try hitting up a Local Bike Shop. With luck they will find you something for about $100 more, but it will be well worth it in the long run. It will be well put together and made of better parts. Plus if you are lucky and have a good bike store they might get you on a bike of the correct size and help set it up for you.

    Thank you very much.

I miss the offer anyway (wait too much i suppose) as i cannot see the bike on the website anymore.
I went to the shop to try the bike and it looks ok for me. At the end any bike looks fine for me.

I have several local bike shops around the area, so i will do as you suggest and make them a visit.

I have open another thread about this here (much better on topic than this now that the offer has gone).

    forums . mtbr . com /beginners-corner/newb-looking-advice-deal-new-bike-825859.html

    Thanks!!
