Best deal on a Garmin Edge 305?

Best deal on a Garmin Edge 305? Best I've found is about $240 here and there on the internet and ebay.

I'd give Geo.man a shout. I think he's got them for about the same price ($237)... check at www.geomangear.com

I'm really close to pulling the trigger on a Forerunner 305 right now, just waiting for the funds to become available...

forgot to mention, Geo.man is active on this forum, too, so if you have questions about it, he's usually available to help.

I'm debating whether to purchase the Garmin Edge 305HR with cadence and speed sensor from Chumbo at $266.35 with free Fed Ex ground shipping or from Geo.Man at $269.00 plus $9.60 for USPS Priority shipping.

Any reason to stay away from one or the other?

    Thanks.

I had no problems with my purchase from Geo.man, and as I said, he's active on the forums. Other than that, I don't see any reason to pick one or the other.

I ended up going for the Garmin Forerunner 305 over the Edge 305 since the Forerunner can be used on just about any outdoor activity and not just cycling. I absolutely love my Forerunner...The only real difference between the Forerunner 305 and Edge 305 is the size of the display and the Edge 305 uses both GPS and a barometer to calculate a more accurate elevation profile.

Pricing: I got my Forerunner 305 for $175 (After $50MIR) from Costco.com....the Edge was about $50 bucks more and the return policy at Costco is similar to REI...so you can return anytime if it breaks.

Geoman - do you have the Forerunner 205? I have a 201 and want to upgrade but I don't care for a HR strap around my chest.

    Gsc 10?

    GeoMan

Any Idea when you will have more of the GSC 10's in stock?

I just bought a 305 from you and love it.

We just got some in today (GSC 10 - Cadence/Speed Sensor). The site is updated now.

We've got a special deal on the Forerunner 305... you don't need to wear the strap...

We've got the Forerunner 205 now too.

    Thanks campisi and ibismojo!

Geoman is the source for the Garmin 305, especially if you need it fast! I received an email moments after placing the order and it was in my possession in a couple of days.

I also read some of his posts on software compatibility with Apple OS since I am using both Windows and Mac platforms. I was close to purchasing Parallels after reading his success but decided to just wait for Motionbased to fully support the Mac.

In any event, I chose Geoman for price, speed of delivery, and knowledge of the product from an end-user perspective since he is also a user/rider.

    Thanks Geoman.

    GEOMAN is the man!

I shopped around a lot. Geoman is competitive w/ the pricing, but the customer service RAWKED, and what makes it better, is they ride, so you aren't sending your money to some yahoo in BFE who can care less why you are buying the unit. Great communication, and they upgraded my shipping. VERY SATISFIED customer!! I've referred them a few times.

I'd like to get a forerunner, just wish Garmin would come out with another good rebate too.

Could always go ebay, there are some pretty good deals on there too.

If you want piece of mind, buy it through REI or Costco. If it ever breaks, you can get a refund or get a new one.

Based on his reviews and reputation for customer service, I just ordered the 305 HR/cadence bundle. I truly appreciate the little guy who still emphasizes customer service, and the pricing is extremely competitive. You da' man!

There must've been some sort of network delay in seeing your order. We strive for much better! LOL!
