    Backcountry Fuji Bikes on clearance

I keep seeing these pop up on chainlove, but it looks like they're sitting on backcountry's site now:

    SLX/XT bike $599: Fuji Bicycles Tahoe 2.0 Shimano SLX/XT Complete Bike | Backcountry.com

Full XT bike $699: Fuji Bicycles Tahoe 1.0 Shimano XT Complete Bike | Backcountry.com

Apparently can be combined with some of the backcountry discount codes: Backcountry Coupons: 70% Off Coupon Code, Free Shipping 2013 (I didn't try, but there you go)

I'll say right off the bat: cheap stem/seat/seatpost/bars, probably cheap wheels, but still not a bad deal considering the components. They advertise the XT bike as being 27.5lbs for a 23".

That's a damn good deal - surprised more people aren't talking about it.

The 20% off coupon is only valid on regular price items so you can't use it on these deals anyway.

26" bikes. Probably one reason no one wants them.

26" bikes work fantastic for a vast majority of mountain bikers out there. For someone getting into the sport or looking to upgrade from their department store bike, the Fuji in this deal is a great opportunity.

Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, someone getting into it might not realize how good a deal it is, and someone whose been riding a while will go for a 29er or 650b.

+1. Hopefully some of us more knowledgeable folk will direct our friends/family who are looking to get into the sport towards deals like that!

The XT (better deal) model is out of stock so looks like some people jumped on it. I thought about getting it for parts and just reselling the stripped down bike...

I found another site with the full specs--head tube is 70*, that's perfectly reasonable?
