Any leads on a 160mm rotor deal

Looking for a good deal on a decent 160mm rotor. Any ideas?

Will those Ashima's work with any calipers? Probably a dumb question but just want to make sure.

Here you go... 160mm Avid HS1's for $7 a piece, shipped. I've put these on multiple bikes (from this same seller) and haven't ever had a problem.

These are great with less screaming than avids.

Just a heads up, there is a possibility the above are fakes.

Cheap eBay (fake?) Avid HS1 rotors
    Rotors "striping"

Yes, but they are cheap and light and work fine. I have them on two bikes.
After all, it's just a piece of stainless steel.

There have been past threads on MTBR and Rotorburn about fake Avid rotors, and the way to tell seems to be whether they have uni or multidirectional grinding lines on them. The ones in that post are unidirectional.

If you've had success with them, that's great. Just pointing out something to look for.

Edit: Woops, looks like someone already mentioned this.

Generic rotors I have no problems with. Ripping off someone else's brand name I do have a problem with (even if it's Avid).
Since when did the phrase "invest in" come to mean the same as "buy"?

My OEM HS1 rotors that came stock with my new bike (purchased from the LBS) have a uni-directional grind? So...maybe the grind isn't the indicator for knock-offs....

+1 for the Airotors... Got a pair on eBay for $24 shipped. Love them so far, and saved a few grams too!

Not a deal, since I think it's regular price, but KCNC Razors have worked pretty well for me, and are reasonably light, for only $25.

I have heard that these pulse bad and eat pads. Any experience with that? My Magura Storm SL rotors that have an open pattern do seem to cause my rigid salsa fork to shimmy under hard braking.

I'm not a super aggressive/heavy rider and I don't think I beat gear up too bad, and so far, so good. I have experienced pretty consistent braking, but am probably not experienced enough to notice some subtle differences between the stock Tektros and these. Still have plenty of pad left though!

    x2

I am currently use IceTech on the bike with XTs up fron, and than a higher end avid rotor up front on the full suspension with Elixirs but for rear these seem great.
