If they would remove that huge AIRBORNE decal many people would probably be interested in the Hobgoblin. Perhaps using the parts on a different frame might make a compelling case. I can sympathize that they are trying to get their name out there but the decal takes up nearly the entire lower frame:

Why? It's the same way with many manufacturers.... I actually think it looks ok - don't get me wrong, I would probably think it would look ok with it smaller too haha

And wouldn't that make a completely different bike? lol.... I guess I'm missing your point here - because the decal is too big, a different frame is the solution?

That would work! Also intrigued by some of the Chinese carbon frames.

Someday I will likely purchase an Airborne Hobgoblin. From a pure value standpoint I don't think anyone else comes close. Most bikes with XO components are priced at $4 to $5K. When I priced out the individual components the result exceeded $3K not including the frame.

Decals and name brands are definitely user specific. My preference is a plain matte frame with no decals.

I am in no hurry to acquire another bike and will continue to search for value products that I find to be aesthetically appealing. Airborne has the value side of the equation nailed.

Wow, $1,800 on the goblin x0 seems like a great deal, seriously, thats allot of bike and components for under $2k.
Hardrock 29er, Niner EMD9, Cannondale F29, Camber Expert, 650b Nickel all gone.

The problem, as always with that is that "value" normally equates to less choice... IE no choice of color within a specific range. Personally I don't really care about color, decals or the way something looks.... Mrs. OutLore however - color was the 1st thing on her list of "must haves" haha
