    5.10 Spitfire Shoes

Anyone looking for the 5.10 Spitfire's? I just received mine today from Zozi.com. They have a sell right now where they are offering the shoes for $45, plus $7 Shipping. If you make an account, you will receive a $10 credit...So make sure to make yourself an account. I got the shoes for $42 SHIPPED to my door, after the $10 credit. Can't beat the price. No sales tax either. I'm in Cali and the shoes shipped from a City 45min. from me. Great shoes at a smokin' deal! I got the last size 13, but all other sizes are shown.

Any comments on how they grip compared to Freeriders/Impacts?

I've heard the sole compound is different.

They also have some good prices on closeout five tens on blueskycycling.com and fiveten.com

I got some SPD Raven off blue sky for $64.. But the XC guys need to be aware that they are DH oriented.. they weight a ton. almost a 1/2lb more that a spitfire per show

i have these for more almost 2 years now. the grip is great and good enough with spank spike pedals. The sole has held up pretty well and I still wear them. They are a great value for the price, the only thing is that after all the abuse this shoe has taken, the sole has lost the stiffness it once had and now feels like just any other sneaker. The grip is still there though, it is not as grippy as the impacts but for me it is plenty grippy enough.

I ordered a set of free riders from pricepoint last week for $64. It's the humble blue ones. Not my first color choice, but I'm cheap like that.
