did an impulse buy on these for an upcoming potential backup bike hardtail build.
23mm with not too shabby, dont expect the KOM version to be super strong but save some weight. guessing they may be 1900ish grams, cant find much info.
Looks like a pretty nice wheelset for the price. Probably not the lightest, especially considering theyre centerlock which tend to run lighter anyway. I couldnt find any info either. But if you prefer centerlock and loose bearing hubs, its hard to argue with the price.
Yes, I believe so. But dont worry too much, they have a 20% coupon practically every day. Once in a while they have either a 25% off coupon, or a 20% with free shipping on frames and wheelsets. You just have to wait a bit and another one will come around. If it were me, Id hold out for the 20% and free shipping on wheelsets, as that will bring it down to $120 flat.
That's a great deal. The rims alone are $89 a piece! I'd worry about them being properly tensioned and such but they're light where you want them to be. Hub weight isn't rotating mass so no big deal. Check for nice, even spoke tension when you get them. Or have a shop look at them that knows how to build wheels.
Has anybody actually weighed these or seen specs? I'm looking at a wheelset with XT CL hubs and 500g rims claimed to be 1835g. With the KOM rims at 420g that makes me think these would be around 1700g. That seems too good...
Too good indeed, just got mine in, 1910g on my scale right out of the box. Still much lighter than my sx23 set @ 2280g.
