    [Amazon]RockShox SID RCT3 - Dual Air 100mm 26-Inch 9mm (White) (Tapered) $306

I was searching Amazon for a fork for my son's 24" when I came across this. I don't need it, but at this price I wanted to need it hehe. Maybe someone here could use a nice fork for what looks like a super deal. The 1 1/8 steerer is listed at $700 ish for reference. I had the fork in my save for later cart cart last night and it was at $326. I was just looking at it... and this morning it dropped to $306.

Kind of a wierd fork. 6inch 100mm travel with 9mm qr and tapered... mixing new and old standards all over the place not sure who can use this

100mm is 4in travel, ie. equals XC. Tapered is not uncommon for current chinese carbon frames. Shrugs, it doesn't seem that weird to me. The spec'd weight is darn good though.

Agreed...looks like a great deal for someone. If it was the straight steerer I'd be all over it. Thanks for posting.

Actually, it seems pretty great for a kid's or small rider's bike. My current 26er isn't tapered, but when I'm buying a 26er for my son when he's older, I'd be happy to buy a tapered frame and use the 9mm QR.

I just hope 26" parts like this are still readily available and affordable by the time he's growing into that size bike.

^^Yea, I feel the same. I was --> <-- close to getting it for a kid build, but the reality for me is that my kid won't be ready for a few years for a new fullsize frame. I saw in my cart that the price jumped back up to over 500 today. At least I can stop umulling it over in the back of my mind now, lol.
