    $179 Kona Scab DJ steel frame

    Good price on a steel jumper frame, $179.

    Only bad thing is that the rear tire clearance max's out at a Tioga Factory DH 2.1, so no fat 2.3+ in this frame.

    Not sure if this makes any sense but does the frame geometry lend itself to good climbing?

    I dont' know if the geo on the Scrap is the same as on my old Cowan, but the Cowan rode surprisingly well as a XC bike. Or course seatpost was sticking out like a sky scraper, but it climbed decently with the DJ3 fork I had in front.
