    Xm 819 ????

Have a new rear wheel arriving today, Mavic XM819 and Hope II hub...... Now for the newbie question. Currently running a Kenda Nevegal UST (with no-tubes conversion)on a non-ust rim. Besides removing the cassette and placing on the new wheel. What needs to be done to mount a UST Tire on XM819? Thanks in advance.

just clean any gunk off the bead, then you are good to go. You dont have to use any stans, but one scoop is nice thorn protection.

you still have to soap up the bead a bit when airing up, but not much. you should also be able to do it with a floor pump.

Then, you get the fun of finding that pressure you like to ride at. Welcome to the club!

819s do not need a rim strip for tubeless or tubed use.

For UST/tubeless ready tires just install the included UST valve (finger tight).

With tubes, no valve or rim strip. just put on the tire and tube.
