WTB SpeedDisc Pro XC - bent already!?

I'm new to the game and just got back from my 4th "serious" ride. I've got a Marin hardtail with WTB SpeedDisc Pro XC wheels, and my rear wheel is already bent bigtime. Are these notoriously weak wheels? I've read through some of the reviews and people say they are pretty good, and some people even mentioned how strong they are, so I'm pretty surprised. Granted I'm obviously not the best rider and maybe it's my fault, but I haven't had any major crashes or anything I can think of that would bend the rear wheel like that. Do these wheels just suck or what?

i got mine back to normal with a spoke wrench.

They were able to straighten it out but it's nowhere near as good as new. Anyone else have any comments on these wheels?
