    The WTB Mutano TCS 2.4 .. anyone running this tire ?

    The WTB Mutano TCS 2.4 2010 Ver. ( non raptor }
    Looking for race / trail reports with the new tire.
    Also any feedback on running it up front.( Northern California, sand , rock , packed ,gravel etc. )
    Waiting on my set, Want to race them right away. Thank you in advance....

    wtb rep at cow palace cross race told me carcass was updated for better tubeless performance ( sidewall/carcass more robust)and that tread performance was like the the mutano raptor it replaces which is great news as I love the old 2.4's speed/grip balance when I was running tubes but did not like them as much when running tubeless.

    How do they perform in dry, rocky southern California style conditions?

    well, i am in Fresno, ca. so hot, dry and loose over hardpack conditions are the norm. The mutano raptors excelled in these conditions.

    can anyone compare the Mutano to the Weirwolf? If you look at the TCS models, the weight difference is a lot more with the Weirwolf, but its supposed to be low tread count?
