WTB Frequency i19 with 29" Maxxis CrossMarks

Anybody have any experience or advice with this combo?
The bike shop where I bought my new bike claimed to have bad luck using them together but I can't see any reason why they shouldn't work.

The rims are TCS/UST and the tires are UST.
The rims have yellow tubeless rim strips and I have the presto valves.
I have zero personal experience running tubeless...

The UST Crossmark should be fine.

Maybe the shop had issues running the standard tire without tubes. The UST version is fairly new.

    That would be presta valves...
Thanks Shiggy, you are right. After a lot of investigation I've determined that I have the non-UST CrossMarks.
I rode Ancient Lakes with you and Ward last year.

It is usually pretty easy to ID a UST Maxxis tire. This pic is a few years old but the labeling is similar.
Mavic Crossmax UST Tubeless wheels + Maxxis Ignitor UST Tires

We should ride again. I am back in Wenatchee.
