    weinmann dhl 65 ERD?

Just wondering if anyone has the ERD to the 26" weinmann dhl 65 rim? I have looked all over the web and can not find it but want to make sure I have the spokes on hand before the rim shows up.

    Thanks in advance.

    According to the manufacturer's site, it's 559mm

    Weinmann Metal Products Co., LTD

However, I would measure it when you get it before ordering spokes. I just ordered the DHL 100, 32 hole rims and will be measuring the rims when I get them. I'll be ordering spokes from Danscomp when I have my measurements...

The 559 is the ISO size of the rim bead, not the ERD (ie: spoke bed to spoke bed).

It is, as far as I can see from the dealer books I've looked through, unpublished.

Good catch, didn't make that connection.

There was another site that has some measurements. If I find it I'll post it.

Even if it was published, you are better off measuring the ERD yourself.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

+1 to that... It was the first thing Roger Musson warns about...

My DHL100 rims arrived last night. ERD measured to 532mm. Ordering spokes today and will post pictures of the measurement and rims when I get home tonight.

Okay, pictures as promised. I was able to lace the DHL100 to my Hadley 135mm Fatback Front Hub with success, even though I made some real bone head mistakes measuring the ERD. My initial measurments were 532mm. [Family Feud Buzzing Noise Fail]!! What I didn't check before measuring was the validity of my measuring spokes. Instead of the 200mm each, they were 202mm and 206mm respectively. Yikes! So my 532mm was really 540mm! I had already ordered the spokes from Danscomp at 538mm. But the spoke length for 540mm ERD requires 561mm spokes. Now, 3mm isn't much, but I wasn't sure what that would mean. The Danscomp spokes did come with 16mm nipples and not 12mm. Not sure what difference that made, but according to Roger Musson, the 16mm nipples may require reducing the spoke length by up to 2mm, bringing the spoke length much closer to what I had ordered. It turns out that I worried for nothing. I had plenty of spoke length to lace the rims up and get a relatively round rim.

What I did notice was that when I laced them without any tension, the rim was WAY out of concentricity. This was not the case when I had laced my Neon Trails 47mm Rims. They were nearly perfectly round, laterally and radially. The Weinmanns were laterally good, but radially they were AWFUL. I was able to get them pretty close, but not completely round. I've mounted my Husker Dus with an inner tube, but I want to go tubeless. I've posted my ghetto method here:

    Budget Weinman 100mm & 80mm rims

But here are the pictures of the spoke measurement:
