UST Tire advantages for standard rims when going tubeless?

Are there any pros/cons to using tubeless ready tires with a standard rim when doing a tubeless conversion?

The problem is in using a standard rim. Will never work as easily or securely as a proper UST spec rim/tire tubeless setup

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

Plenty of people run a standard rim tubeless without problems.

It is a crap shoot if a specific tire/rim combo works. Many more issues with "tubeless" conversions than with proper tubeless setups. Not even Notubes guarantees results when a tire/rim is used outside their design intent. Try at your own risk.
