The problem is in using a standard rim. Will never work as easily or securely as a proper UST spec rim/tire tubeless setup

Plenty of people run a standard rim tubeless without problems.

It is a crap shoot if a specific tire/rim combo works. Many more issues with "tubeless" conversions than with proper tubeless setups. Not even Notubes guarantees results when a tire/rim is used outside their design intent. Try at your own risk.
