    Unknown mavic rim year

Can anyone tell me the year of this Mavic Crossmax XL in the pic. Just picked a set up used. Does anyone know where I can buy spokes for them other than ebay?

Back in the day most of the better LBS had a plastic yellow mavic tool box full of small parts for Xmax wheels, spokes, freehubs, and pawls. Call around your lbs see if they still have that box tucked away in a corner somewhere.

    higgs,
Your local Mavic dealer is always the best place to start. If you have any questions or can't find the answers you need feel free to DM me, I can help you out.

I couldn't find a lbs that stocked spokes for my crosstrails a couple of years ago. If I remember correctly, you had to buy a set of three, and they were rather pricy. I ended up finding the same model rear wheel on cl cheaper than replacing a spoke - a very rare anomaly to my usual luck.

This thread (third post) will help you find the spoke part number and other info using the serial number on the wheel. Post the spoke part #. Maybe someone with spares will send you some for free. mavic crossride rear wheel noise
