tube in my tubless tire - can I run it at low pressure?

I put a pretty good tear into my tubeless tire on my last ride. The tire would not hold air so I had to put a tube in. There's still a good amount of slime in the tire so will that allow me to run the tube at a lower than normal pressure, assuming the slime will fill any minor flats in the tube? Thanks/

Slime in the tire will do nothing to repair the tube. You can reduce the pressure to whatever you like, but the tube will be vulnerable to snakebites.

I'd try the parktool sidewall patch, I had a small cut it worked out ok for me running tube.

Depending on how big the tear is you might want to stitch the hole and glue it with a patch afterwards.
