I got started with tubeless in April with Stan's Arch wheels and Conti X-King tires. It took some work to get the Conti's sealed up (lots of sealant weeping through the sidewalls), but now they are working great. I especially like the light weight 700g per tire. Now I am tire shopping again, looking for a more aggressive tread without sacrificing (too much) on weight. Does the TPI rating have any impact on suitability for tubeless? Does higher TPI mean less porus sidewalls and therefore less weeping?
Is there a measure for this or is the only way to find out through trial and error? I would imagine that the lighter the tire, the thinner the rubber correct?
