Tire in reverse rotation in rear?

Would it hurt to run a directional tread tire in reverse rotation even though the arrow on the side says only one direction? Newb question I know, but Id rather not damage the tire or have to remove and remount the tire 2x.

It wll be fine, test it out and see if you even like how it rolls before you head to your trails. Allot of people run a rear tire in reverse for more grip, but not sure if it affects tire wear more tho.

I personally don't do this unless the tire actually has arrows in both directions, and yes, one of them is speed and the other is traction.

But hey, you can experiment and find out.

Running the rear tire in opposite of the intended direction typically negatively impacts rolling resistance and braking traction, while increasing climbing traction. Cornering traction may or may not be effected.

I would not recommend it, unless you frequently find yourself spinning out and losing traction on the climbs while using good technique.
