Hello,

The short of it: I am looking for tubeless tire recommendations that would pair well with my 2008 Stumpjumper rims.

The longer story: I am brand new to mtb'ing and have recently purchased the above bike with older, i.e. not tubeless, Schwalbe Nobby Nic's. I have converted them to ghetto tubeless but occasionally come out in the morning after a ride and find one or the other tire flat. My mentor in all this suggests giving up trying to make the Nobby Nic's work and purchase true tubeless tires. So I am trying to do this right and pick a tire that would work with my rims. I understand the rims are DT Swiss custom for Specialized X420.

I am okay buying new Knobby Nic's that are supposedly tubeless, but the ones I have seem slow to clear themselves of mud. But that is a newbie's observation.

This is my first post, so please pardon me if I should have posted this in the "Newbie Corner" instead of here.

Any help would be appreciated.
