New question here. Sun Ringle Black Flag Pro Wheel set

Looking to buy a 29er. Comes with the above wheelset. Does anybody have an educated opinion as to how the Black Flag will hold up with a 250 pound rider. Mostly cross country. I use my 26 for bigger stuff.

Great deal on bike so I'd hate to have to switch out the wheelset and spend yet more money.

The Charger Pro would be better for a 250# rider. Hubs are made by Chosen and are pretty good. They are 28 spokes but still pretty stiff. The biggest issue is the narrow lightweight rims. The Charger Pro is basically the same but with a wider and stronger rim.
Single and loving it (single speed bike that is)

I ride a set on my race XC 29er. I am 175-180 with gear. The front has been great. On the rear I broke an axle and some spokes. I just use it for XC riding with lots of rocks sometimes. I did have to rebuild my rear wheel after a particularly hard hit. The rim went beyond fixable. I do agree the chargers would be better. The good news is you can resell the black flag pros for decent money and grab another wheels set.

The rims have the stans bead and are super easy to set up tubeless.
