Sun R. Black Flags or Azonic Outlaws

I am on the fence right now. I have a Kona Cowan hardtail that I have been piecing together as my XC/trail bike. Last thing is a wheelset.....I want to stay under $400. Any info would be awesome! Thanks!

Not really comparable rims IMO. The Black Flags are more XC friendly, while the Outlaws are geared more towards gravity riding, ie. All-Mountain, DH.

I'd be looking at Sun Ringle Charger Pro or Expert instead.

    This ^^^^

The Black Flags are XC wheels, the Outlaws are an AM to FR wheelset. Nothing to compare here.
Single and loving it (single speed bike that is)

I can say the charger pros or experts are awesome. I have a pair of comps and a set of experts on both my bikes and they work beautifully. IS your bike QR or 15/20mm?

I had Outlaw wheelset (26 inch). They were nice, and you get all types of axle conversion options and extra axle. Very complete package. Will you wish you bought lighter wheels in a year? These are heavy! Heavy and reliable.

Sun R. Black Flags or Azonic Outlaws

I have QR... Ok so sounds like Black Flags might be closer to what I am looking for.....to add one more in the loop, any thoughts on the Crank Brother Cobalts or Iodines?? I just want to get a wheelset that is going to last and that I won't want to upgrade 4 months after I get them....kind of sounds like the Outlaws are just that...heavy and will be looking for something different within a year

Look into the charger comps. They have convertible front hub as well as a QR rear. They work awesome and are tough and ready to be set up tubeless with everything included. As far as CB goes, everything I have had from them fails fairly quick. Except the multitool which is awesome in my opinion.
