    Spoke lengths for Pulstar hubs

Ive aquired a NOS set of Pulstar 32 hole hubs, that I'm gonna use for a "vintage" wheelset, just for laughs.

    Like these:

Does anyone know how to calculate spoke lengths for these hubs? Can I use ordinary Sapim Laser straight pull (or similar) spokes?

    Thanks.

Found this. Never mind about the spoke lengths.

Still wondering if straight pull Sapims will work, though.

I loved those old hubs - super good rolling bearings. Were ahead of the curve on the straight-pull spoke design. I look at I9 wheels today and can't help but think Pulstar.

I recently picked up an old Proflex from someone's garage for $75, and it had a set of Wheelsmith-built, Pulstar-hubbed, Bontrager/Weinmann-rimmed wheels. Bike probably had less than 200 miles on it. Sadly, despite being an 856 and having these wheels the other components were low-end. Anyway, the wheels are now on my wife's bike and look great...would like to find some more of these hubs!

Yeah, I noticed that the one on this wheelset binds occasionally, though only lightly. I may try to pressure-inject some oil/grease in there if I can't get it off to replace it. Is this a common issue with these things?

What rims are you going to use? If you can give me the erd of the rim you will be using I can give you the spoke lengths because I still have the hub dimensions for those hubs written down.

binding is a minor precurser to esploding, and free wheeling in both directions, heavy grease and pawls don't mix light grease in moderation. Those were really cheap, taiwanese cassette mechanisms, and i don't think they come apart or rebuild. Not sure it's been forever.
