New question here. same tire when mounted on different-width rims?

    (This is a silly Q.)
When you mount the same tire (with same PSI) on different-width/height rims, does the tire substantiates differently (width, height, feel/texture)?

For example, I have Butcher Control mounted sometimes on Mavic EN 321 and sometimes on Sun Single Track (about 3mm of difference). I sorta notice that it kinda looks skinnier when on EN 321; hence my asking.

Not a silly question at all.

Tyres will measure up differently on different internal width rims and ride differently as a consequence. Have a search for a few articles on the new very wide rims some manufacturers are making for their thoughts.
