I have a 2010 RockHopper Expert. I'm looking for tires that will allow me to roll fast on pavement but also allow me to go on hard dirt trails/grass once in awhile. I do A LOT of street riding for HOURS on end on the weekends. Usually ride anywhere from 4 to 6 hours in a day. The knobby tires I have now that came with my bike are not that great. I don't go as fast as I'm pedaling which kills my momentum and enthusiasm! I so far have 2 tires that I'm interested in. I would love for anyone to steer me in the right direction as to which tires would best be suited for my needs. I'm also starting to commute to work on my bike so these new tires should be able to handle a variety of terrain. My 2 choices so far are.....
1. Kenda K838 Slick Wire Bead Bicycle Tire, Blackwall, 26-Inch x 1.95-Inch
2. Marathon Mondial, 50-559, Reflex, Wire
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! I'm going cross eyed from researching this for the past few days, lol!
