Radial lacing on a King Single Speed/BMX Front Hub

I need to/want to rebuild the front wheel for my rigid 29er using a new Velocity A23 rim and my 32 spoked Chris King Single Speed (BMX/High Flange) front hub. I've had good experience with radial laced wheels (some I built, some are boutique factor wheels) for both cross and mtb and thought I might do that with this build -- this is in contrast to a standard 3x build (radial is more sexy than 3X IMO). It didn't seem to me the Chris King site had definitive info on whether they "recommended" radial lacing. Anyone have advice or experience? Thanks!

    From Chris King Tech FAQ

Does the hub warranty cover radial lacing?
Answer: Not anymore. Too much additional load is placed on the weakest part of the hub (the flanges) and little is gained by radial lacing. It is not stronger than a 2X pattern and hardly lighter. Why do it?

    Seems pretty definitive to me...

Thanks for finding that -- did not come across that on my perusal of their site. But to answer "why do it?", as I said IMO it's sexier. But probably not enough sexier in the end to do it...
