    Quick Release problems

I've been having some quick release problems with my new fork (Raidon X2 LO R air) and I'm looking for a solution. It takes twice as long as my old fork to get on and off, the opening is closer to the fork cylinder so I can't rotate the leaver arm side so I have to hand tighten the opposite side and then clam the leaver arm. I rode today and it came untightened twice and is annoying. Nick from Suntour mentioned the QLOC and it sounds great but I'm wondering it it will work with my fork, and I don't believe the wheel would work with the QLOC so i'd have to get a new wheel that would work with the QLOC. Does anyone know how much the QLOC is and how much a QLOC compatable wheels would be? I am also taking any other suggestions.

Actually he mentioned the QLOC2, the new one.

    Thanks

You should not be tightening your QR using the clamping lever as a crank. This is how a QR should be used, from Park Tool:

Adjust closing tension of quick release skewer. For most skewers, hold lever parallel to the hub axle, which is half way through its swing from fully open to fully closed. Tighten adjusting nut snug against dropout. Check results by moving lever back and forth through its swing. Lever should meet resistance to closing half way through its swing. Close lever fully.

The lever should be used for clamping only.

There are also good and bad quality skewers and yours looks like a very basic one. If they are coming loose, I'd suggest that you spend a few bucks and get a good quality Shimano skewer. It'll be a lot cheaper than dental work if you have a wheel come off.
The trouble with having an open mind is that people will insist on trying to put things in it.

P.S. I have no idea what QLOC is. Can you explain further.

Not really a QR. It is their 15mm (tool free) through axle. Requires a different fork and hub.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
