Punched a hole in the inside wall of an Arch

I was riding some chunk last weekend, and I went down blowing out a tire in the process. I saw a decent gash in the tire, so I threw in a tube to finish out the ride. I did 12 more miles in the rocks with no issues. I fixed the tire, and I could not get the tire beads to set. I was loosing a lot of air at the valve. I eventually replaced the valve stem, and I had the same result. I eventually figured out I had a small hole in the yellow tape and the inside of the rim. It was a very small hole, maybe 1/16 x 1/16. I re-taped the wheel, and it aired up perfectly. I have put 14 miles on it since with no issues. Do I need to worry about the strength at this point?

I've had a nail punch through a tire and make a similar sized hole in the rim. Wheel is fine. I'd run it.
