    New King hub owner skewer question

    What type/size of skewer/quick release to use w/ 100mm frt hub an 135mm rear classic hubs?

    After hearing good things about Salsa skewers for years I finally bought a pair last year for use with a CK freehub/Hope XC front wheelset I built up. I found it very easy to get the lever misaligned on it's curved plastic seat and it's also very easy to get dirt and grit in between these two parts. I've never used the Hopes but it looks like this might be an issue with their brass lever seats as well.

    Frankly, I'll take Shimano quick-release skewers over the Salsa anyday.

    I'll take the Salsa's...

    I was suffering from very annoying brake "squeal" (Avid Juicy 7's - they sounded like a couple of turkey's gobbling, but they work great) and changing my skewers from Shimano XT to Salsa solved the problem. I was pleasantly suprised.
