    Mininion DHF 2ply 2.5 + Sun Ringle Inferno 25 - setup question

Even since I got my bike I was really disappointed with the stock tires : Schwalbe Hans Dampf in 2.35 , as I was getting pinch flats/snake bites almost each ride I went ( never run under 2 bar ,opposed to what they list as a 1.6 minimum) .

Therefore I bought a pair of Maxxis Minions DHF in 2.5" dual ply , Super Tacky front and Maxxpro at the rear.

Today I've tried to put them on my wheels , everything went OK but got slightly confused on how they sit on the rims since they are narrower than 2.35 Hans Dampf's . I know Minions are smaller than other brands but didn't expect that.

What could be the reasons ?

    1. Rims two narrow ? They are SunRingle Inferno 25 an listed as 20,9 mm inner width . (full spec here : Inferno 25 | SUNringlé )

    2. Tires need to bead in ? side a short time ?

    3. Minions are THAT narrow ?

    4. Other ?

In the pictures below on the left are the minions - on the right is my brothers bike with the same 2.35 Hans Dampfs

2.5 Minions run more like 2.3's. That is normal. They WILL corner a LOT better than that lame Hans Dampf so don't judge this book by the cover my friend. Ride and ENJOY your hugely improved cornering prowess!!!

    Have FUN!

Thanks for the replay G man.
Went today for a ride, nothing too extreme, but what can I say, they stick like glue and roll pretty good up hill, as I haven't felt the extra weight. All I can say is awesome tires, as I'm feeling more confident in my riding therefore a wise upgrade to my bike.
