Michelin Wild RockR2? Anyone using these?

All the reviews I've read are raving about these. I searched and there's no threads about these.

Anyone using these? How do they compare to other tires in their class? Minion, high roller 2, Hans dampf, butcher, etc?

In for the replies. I'm going to have my LBs order a pair (or maybe a Wild Grip'R2 for the rear) in the next week or so. The PB review caught my attention.

looks like a great tread pattern but at 1000g it's going to be alot of tire to drag around for daily use. I'd love to see a 700-800g option.

No free lunches, I'm afraid. I want big knobs and a reinforced carcass, so it is what it is.

I just stopped by my LBS after work and ordered a Wild Rock'r2 and a Wild Grip'R2. Here goes nothin'.

Keep us posted. I'm curious how they compare to other aggro tires.

Running them on the front of mu Son's downhill bike (he is 110 pounds). So far he loves them.
