New question here. LX vs. Deore center lock hubs

Is there any difference? They appear to be the same weight from various sources, so with the LX are you just paying for finish? It wouldn't be the first time that Shimano had trouble coming up with a real differentiation between products (e.g. XT vs. LX cranks from a few years ago that were only different in finish and an aluminum vs. steel small 'ring).

i've got some deore hubs (6 bolt) and some xt centerlocks both mated to rhyno lites with 32 spokes. i can't tell a difference in weight between them just lifting them.

i also can't tell a difference in how smooth they roll. i think the xts are a 'little' lighter, but i'm not even sure about that. from what i understand, the xts get a second grime seal whereas the deores get one.

if the lx just have 1 seal, i'm guessing it's mostly a finish issue.

btw, i have lx cranks on one bike and i love 'em.
