Looking for ideas for 29" Street Tires

Some time ago, I bought a Genesis Gx7 29" cruiser from Walmart, and the tires that came with it were your typical 29"x 2.125" tires with low psi, so I switched them with with an old pair of Bell Kingpins ( 2.25" ) and they had a higher psi. The drawaback is that since they are mountain bike tires, they don't roll very well on the pavement since I do riding in the city. I want to find a nice set of tires that are good for pavement but also have around 2" width and a good psi to carry a clydesdale like myself. If you can suggest anything i'll take a gander at what you use for street riding

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but have you seen the Schwalbe Big Apples? I have a pair mounted on an extra set of wheels and put them on my mountain bike when I can only take one bike with me.

ah, good thread. I plan on turning my Cobia into an all street bike once I get another bike for trails.
Was thinking maybe the Maxxis Crossmarks?
Havent really looked at other tires.

Continental city tires may be under 2" but they have good puncture protection:
Continental Bicycle -Overview City / Trekking / ATB

I just bought some City Ride II in 26" and they are ~900g, not a light tire, but should be durable.

These look very nice, one of the ones I'd like to invest in.

Are they the Geax Evolutions ? If they had them in 2.0 then they'll be good option.
