Kenda Kharisma UST keeps blowing off the bead

I bought a bike with these tires on it and rode it a few times without issue except that the pressure would leak down between rides. On my last ride the bead popped off of the rim and I walked it out. Now I cannot get the bead to seat. Once it pops into place it immediately pops off of the rim. Is there any fix for this or do I simply have to replace the tires?

BTW the tires are UST and the rims are Cane Creek UST as well.

Sounds like the tire bead is damaged.

Also make sure the rims have the TLR rim strip installed. Cane Creek used Bonty TLR rims.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

I do believe the bead must be damaged since it always blows off in the same spot on the tire not the rim (I rotated the tire on the rim to be certain)

However, there are no rim strips of any kind installed. I did a quick search and saw no TLR strips available. Do I need to go to a Trek dealer to buy them?

Does sound like the tire, if the rimstrip is in place.

When installed, a TLR rim strip looks like part of the rim. It is black, fits from bead hook to bead hook, covers the spoke holes, and has a raised diamond shape at the valve hole.

If your rims have no rim strip you would have open spoke holes on the inside.

Yes, you need to go to a Trek dealer for them.
