Kenda Karma DTC vs. Small Block Eight
Has anyone ridden both of these and what do you think?
I tried the Karma 2.0 in back once and didn't like it. I would spin out and never hook up again on loose, steep uphills. Just not enough knob height to dig in. Light weight, good volume and rolled really well, however. I will probably try it again on less steep terrain.
The SB8 2.1 (also in back) seemed to be a good compromise between the Karma and the Nevegal. Sticks better than the Karma and will hook up again if it slips. It packs up with mud quickly, however, and won't shed it easily. I also got two pinch flats in two days at 36psi. I've run Nevegals for more than a year at that pressure and only had one flat. Also, the SB8 didn't roll noticeably better than the Nevegal. Light weight.
Ounce for ounce, give me Nevegal DTCs for all-around performance and durabillity.
